Higher Absorbency
Snowflake Standard Baled Woodshavings are all you need to provide an absorbent bed for
your animals. Predominantly a bale of woodshavings, it also contains a proportion of
sawdust, which settles at the bottom of the bed, soaking up the moisture like a sponge.
Lower Price
The Standard bale is the one for you if you are working to a tight budget. It is an
inexpensive choice of bedding because it has not been through the costly procedure of dust
screening. However, don't let this put you off! Dust allergies are mainly caused by
fungicidal spores, which are not present in wood based products.
Easy to Stack & Store
Standard bales are packed to a volume of 120 litres. They are printed in the instantly
recognisable Snowflake blue print, packed in a thicker, high-gauge bag, with no wire ties.
Bales are normally delivered on 5' x 4' returnable pallets, cutting down unloading time if
you have the use of a forklift. Alternatively, hand unloading can be arranged if
sufficient help is at hand.
User Guide
POULTRY, CATTLE & PIGS:
You will need just 11.1 bales per 1000 square feet to give a depth of 2 inches.
HORSES & PONIES:
You will need 4-5 bales to bed down a 12'x 12' box, then just 1 bale a week to top up.
DOGS:
You will need half a bale to bed down a large
dog kennel to give a 1 inch depth.

into a thicker, high-gauge 120 litre polythene bag. Only the best woodshavings find their

Low Dust Content
Snowflake Supreme Woodshavings are taken through a dust screening system, producing
consistent white woodshavings with a low dust content, suitable for all animals, even
those who may be sensitive to dust.
High on Absorbency
Snowflake Woodshavings are made from kiln dried softwood, a totally natural, highly
absorbent and deodorising material which is free from chemical additives and fungicidal
spores, providing a cleaner, safer and drier environment.
Economical
Snowflake Supreme Woodshavings are inexpensive when compared with other types of bedding.
Initially four to five bales are required to bed down a 12' x 12' box, then one bale per
week to top up.
